Christoph Grizzard Looks at Plans for the Future of Italy
It was once said that no man is an island, and this is especially true when it comes to entrepreneurs. Businesses can’t run successfully in isolation to the economic reality of the state in which they operate. That’s why it’s essential to keep up to date with political and economic developments that are happening, and considering how they can open up new business opportunities. The Economist recently interviewed the Prime Minister of Italy about his plans for the country. Here, Christoph Grizzard reviews his plans, and looks at what impact they could have.
“I operate in many countries across Europe, as well as the United States, but Italy will always be my base and a country that’s close to my heart”, said entrepreneur and public speaker Christoph Grizzard. “It was very interesting, and encouraging, to hear what Prime Minister Renzi had to say. He recognises the importance of entrepreneurism and business when it comes to reinvigorating the European economy, and with a real entrepreneurial spirit growing in Italy, the future should be bright.”
The Economist interviewed Matteo Renzi in November 2014, and asked him how he was going to bring growth back to the Italian economy. The core of his message is that pessimism must not be allowed to hold sway, and they must go into a rebuilding program with confidence and energy. One of the Prime Minister’s main aims is to cut through red tape, and remove some of the bureaucratic layers that can slow down business development. Both public and private sectors will be freed up to create jobs, and build their businesses.
Whilst public debt levels are still high in Italy, as it recovers from the global economic downturn, the recession has now stopped. The next step is to gain the positive momentum that will lead to real growth. Traditionally, tax collection has been problematic in the country, but Renzi is bringing in a simplified tax system to make it easier to understand and easier to pay. The boost to the economy that this brings will be reinvested in social and business enterprises.
“Prime Minister Renzi is a young and charismatic individual, with strong opinions on how to achieve growth”, said Christoph Grizzard. “The signs of recovery are already there, and we should see this gathering pace over the coming years. It’s going to be a great time to start, or to build, a business in Italy.”
Businesses in Italy and beyond have benefited from the mentoring skills of Christoph Grizzard, as well as his highly motivational public speaking.
